Note from Penguin874: Ah, where to start on why this is so late...I've been working on this story since July, and it was going to be released on the following Saturday from Chapter 1, but I had to keep getting off computer, and barely had time next to a lot of things to finish this. I've been working bit by bit on this, and I am currently working on Chapter 3, which is called "Flank", which will be out Saturday, August 21, 2010. I apologize greatly for this delay.
The horizon was reddish orange, and the sky was a very dark blue. I could tell it was night even if I was colorblind. The last of the elite agents were heading out, but Eagle and I had some business to do. According to Penguin874's account of the case, the assassin did escape the college alive, but somehow not through the window.
The horizon was reddish orange, and the sky was a very dark blue. I could tell it was night even if I was colorblind. The last of the elite agents were heading out, but Eagle and I had some business to do. According to Penguin874's account of the case, the assassin did escape the college alive, but somehow not through the window.
Eagle and I decided to start our investigation in the kitchen, where the bomb went off. We entered through the smashed window, and realized the entire kitchen was pitch black, except for a few dark blue shades near the open window at the top.
As I said before, since the assassin didn't escape from the window, it means that this college has another way of getting through. There was a big gash in the wall, but that just lend into the main finale room, also where they held the interviews.
"Mark, look over here," Eagle whispered.
I glanced over at him, and walked over to a far corner. On the ground was a little photo of Sand and Mat fooling around. Probably Peng took a picture of them back then.
Wow...the college looked so much happier and full of life back then. Now it's destroyed and lots of gashes in the wall.
But...wait...this is right next to where the popcorn bomb went off..
"Eagle! The assassin purposely left this here!" I yelled as quiet as I could, which is impossible.
"What do you mean?"
"My guess is that this photo shows Sand and Mat near the window...maybe there's an exit near the window?"
Eagle looked uncertain at first, but then decided that any guess would help in this situation, especially when there were virtually no ways of tracking him so far.
We walked near the window slowly...and suddenly, I felt a rocking in the floor, a few feet from the window.
"Is this a secret passage?" I asked myself.
I pulled out a mini knife and cut a small square into the floor. Before I even sliced a little, the floor opened up. There was a small slide facing the right of the window. It must lead to the fore....
"EAGLE, JUMP IN! HE MUST STILL BE ON THE COLLEGE GROUNDS!"
I jumped in, with Eagle grabbing a small pack and jumping in to join the action.
A few minutes later, we popped out from going so fast and landed in the dark wilderness of Club Penguin. The grass soon took its place again. There was no going back on the slide.
"Well, there's no point trying to go back." I announced. "It's too dark over there anyways...guess we'll have to keep moving forward.
We both shrugged it off, and continuing going on.
About five minutes (as far as I'm sure) we spotted light from the distance.
"That light must be Tyran City," Eagle announced. "It's not far from the college, and it's where they usually got groceries and other needs during the season."
We continued to walk across the woods, when we suddenly heard a shake in one of the bushes. I looked behind me, and saw nothing.
But, in one of the bushes at the left, where Eagle Eye was, I saw 2 red eyes. It made me flash back to the eyes of the assassin.
"Hey, Eagle," I whispered. "Let's check that bush over there..."
"Hey, Eagle," I whispered. "Let's check that bush over there..."
Eagle nodded, and walked over to the bush, and poked a stick into it. Suddenly, we heard a growl and knew something bad was going to happen.
A mountain lion almost as big as Eagle lunged at me, and my boss reacted right away. He jumped over at the lion, crashed it into a tree, and started to punch and wrestle with it.
"Mark!" he screamed. "Get a torch to scare it away! It thinks we're bad!"
I nodded, remember that if you rub two flint stones together, you can start a fire. I found two weird shaped stones near a tree, and saw a squirrel holding one of them.
"Hey, Mr. Squirrely Squirrel..."
The squirrel snarled at me, and then threw the stone at my head.
"Nice to meet you, too, wanna hang out sometime?"
I grabbed the two flint stones and started rubbing them together, and suddenly, a spark began, and after a second spark, a fire began, and I quickly grabbed a stick to put a flame on. I blew out the fire on the stone so there wouldn't be a forest fire, and then ran over to Eagle.
Eagle was on top of the mountain lion, riding it like a wild bull, grabbing its neck as he went. I waved the torch at the mountain lion, and it growled and ran away like a bully scares a little kid.
The two of us panted, and then saw that the woods ended here. I looked over at Tyran City and smiled. The hunt for the assassin will continue, and probably a crazy, zany adventure will come with it.
